Senior Unity Developer
About this role
Those Beyond are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Generalist Unity Developer with experience in across a broad range of development. You'll be working closely with the Creative Director and Chief Technology Officer to create solutions.
The set of responsibilities and tasks will run the gamut of Unity development, including gameplay code, audio integration, shader development, animation, UI/UX, 3D asset pipelines, optimisation, build pipelines and more. We’re such a small team that month to month, you will be involved across the entire game development stack, changing focus and learning as you go. Always supported by the CTO.
Requirements
Unity Developer for 4+ years.
Good understanding and knowledge of C#.
In depth knowledge of using the Unity Engine and associated packages.
An attitude of being comfortable with being uncomfortable. Able to tackle a problem in a domain you’re unfamiliar with autonomously design a solution, or debug something obscure.
Professional or personal experience with a shipped Unity project in a team of over 5.
Ability to pitch ideas to the team, but also to give constructive feedback to others.
Comfortable prototyping independently and have a good sense of self-direction regarding feel and quality.We are looking for a Lead Programmer with games AI experience to join a new and ambitious project, shaping the technical architecture and leading the engineering team through development.
Desired
Deeper maths knowledge, understand not just the application of game math but some of the formulas behind the functions.
Experience using the following Unity packages:
Addressables, UGUI, WebGL
Computer Science or related degree.
Secondary skill set (e.g. art, audio production etc).
Logistics
We are a hybrid-remote studio with offices based in central London. There is no expectation to be in the office, but we do a monthly team social in London, with travel and accommodation paid for if you choose to attend.
